my flaws

my flaws

A Poem by Anjali

Will you love me with all my flaws?
Will you cross the line for me,
Crossing all the forbidden laws?
Will you love me in my worst form?
Will you take the dusk away,
To bring me a beautiful dawn?
Will you love me with all my scars?
Will you cut yourself, too,
To make me feel sane in the terrifying dark?
Will you love me with all my flaws?
Will you love me in my worst form?
Will you love the beauty hidden in a beast?
Will you love me with all my flaws?
Will you?
Can you??.....

I love your questioning mode in this message. It really feels compelling, the way you structured it. I've never been able to ask someone to love me, in spite of my many flaws -- if I detect that someone has a problem with any part of me, I'm long gone becuz I've had too much rejection already. I love the bravery of asking someone to love your flaws. I love the way you ask this other person to "cut yourself, too" -- which could be a way to invite the other person to reveal their own flaws without feeling they might be rejected. That one line especially is powerful becuz I know how much courage it takes to open up like that (((HUGS))) Fondly Margie

Thank you!
I like the questions you've asked here. I read this poem starting with can you and it sounds good but meaning is changed. Try reading it.
By writing can you in the end it conveys that the person cannot and adding will you in the end would mean that you want that person to love you with all the flaws. Nicely written, I could analyse it a lot.
