You Were The First, The Last And Forever

You Were The First, The Last And Forever

A Poem by Anjali
"

This is a short poem by a lover remembering the magical feeling of first love.

"
Do you remember those misty, cold mornings of love?
Those flying kisses and bubbly feelings of first love,
Those moments are now become a faded memory.
How hard I try to remember them all;
It now seems a colorful dream.

The dream that are quite lucid,
But that bubbly feeling is still alive,
How I wish I could go back in time,
To cherish and live those moments again,
Now knowing it won't last forever!

Because that day I thought you were my first,
last and forever
But time has proved otherwise,
Life now seems a true mystery,
Love seems a faded memory
No matter how hard I try,
You were the first, the last and forever!

The past I want to forget,
But now the only memories I cherish a lot,
Those lovely moments of color,
passion and relation
All these are now the reasons for my survival,
As they have been etched in my memory,
Though with time
My thoughts alters with my experiences

You were the first, the last and forever,
And now I write this only on paper,
As we are no longer together.

This is lesson number one in love: "Because that day I thought you were my first, last and forever . . . but time has proved otherwise" . . . I love how your poem feels like a message of acceptance. We all start out with fledgling flapping when we first approach love. It can be a little embarrassing to look back upon our silly assumptions. Love how your narrator cherishes the silly moves from the past. After all, living & learning is what life is all about! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
