Game Of Life

Game Of Life

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

You gave me life,
you gave me a name
but you didn't give me
the pieces for the game.

You bring me into this world
and you're supposed to teach me
how to play the game of life.

You're supposed to teach me
how to love and be loved,
how to give even if you don't receive,
how to help others not hurt them,
how to enjoy the little things
not take them for granted,
and how to have hope
even if it seems hopeless.

These are the pieces that I need
to play a good game, and now if
I could just find them I might be
able to win the game.
