Age Progression

Age Progression

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

Birth to five years,
it's a time of laughter and tears.
Six to ten,
it's a time to wonder how we began.
Eleven to fifteen,
it's the time to become a teen.
Sixteen to twenty,
it's a time to learn how to be an adult, and to learn the many ways of life.
Twenty-one to twenty-six,
it's the time to start your own family, and learn all the little tricks.
Twenty-seven to thirty-two,
it's the time to teach your children how to give and receive respect.
Thirty-three to thirty-eight,
it's the time to start preparing for proms and graduations, oh, just think of all the celebrations.
Thirty-nine to forty-four,
it's the time to start preparing for the grandchildren, before you know it, you will go from one to four.
Forty-five to fifty,
that's the time to sit back and say "ain't that nifty."
