My Life Reclaimed

My Life Reclaimed

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

I once gave you my heart,
but you just ripped it apart.
I once gave you my soul, but,
you left me with a gaping hole.
I once gave you the words from my
heart, but I'm sure you never read
them from the start.
I once gave you all I had, but you
left me all alone, and sad.
I once had a life, but then you
came along, that's when everything went wrong.
I want you to know that I have a
life once again, because I met a
man, and I'm his wife, Amen.
