No Tears

No Tears

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

When the day comes
that I take my last breath,
don't stand over me and cry,
for I am not there.
I'll be in the wind
that blows your hair.
I'll be in the thoughts
of those who care.
When the day comes
that you lay me in the ground,
don't stand over me and cry,
for I am not there.
I'll be in the sunlight
that warms your face.
I'll be in the most sacred
place, your heart.
Tears shall not fall for me,
For we will never part.

this has the right amount of sappiness without overdoing it. it was very sweet and i thought the imagery went perfectly with the theme. great!
