One More Chance

One More Chance

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

If I had one more chance
to be your mom.
I would hold you, kiss you,
and tell you that 'I love you.'

If I had one more chance,
I would spend as much time with
you as I possibly could everyday.

If I had one more chance,
I would never get mad and yell
'leave me alone, I need my space.'

If I had one more chance,
I would read you a story
any time, any place.

If I had one more chance,
I would take you to the park and
we could play on the merry-go-round,
swing on the swings, and slide down the slide. we could even have a picnic at the park.

If I had one more chance,I would never let anyone hurt you again,
whether it be in the light or dark.

If I had one more chance to be your mom. I would be a mom that you would
be proud to call mom.

Please give me one more chance.

Written for my sons,
Dagen and Trystan
