Reason For My Tears

Since the night I met you I haven't
been able to stop thinking about you.
There was something inside you that just
reached out to my heart and stole it away.
We were together only three short days,
but they were the three happiest days
that I have had in many years.

On the third day,
you told me that you knew we had
developed feelings for each other, but
you were going back to your EX because
you had been together two years.
I said that I understood because I didn't know what else to say. I turned and walked away. As I was walking away I felt the tears starting to come to my eyes, the tears that are still there today.
