Smiling Again

Smiling Again

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

Tears may have stained my pillow yesterday,
but it's a new day and the tears have been
washed away.

The tears have been replaced with a smile
that has been missing for awhile. But now
it's back and wider than a country mile.

I have been sad and blue because of you;
But I realized as long as the tears keep
falling, you have won.

So today I make my stand;
I will walk with my head held high,
and a smile on my face cause it's
time for you to be put in your place.
