When I Look At You

When I Look At You

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

When I look at you, I don't see
the imperfections you say you have.
I see the most beautiful woman I
have had the pleasure of meeting.

When I look at you, I see sexy
blue eyes that love and adore me.
I see you for the woman that you
are; A woman with a huge heart
full of love just for me.

When I look at you, I sometimes
wonder just what you could possibly
see in me. I am just a simple country
girl with a painful past.

When I look at you, I know what
it feels like to be loved for who I am,
not what I have to pretend to be.

When I look at you, I see you looking
back at me with the same love I have
for you. I see my wife, and you see
yours, our love mirrored in the other.
