You Are Real And Rare

I have only imagined being loved
the way you love me, yet here you
are in the flesh, not a dream.

Our love has been tested, it's true,
but one thing is forever, and baby
that's me and you.

Seems like each time our love is
tested we get stronger, not sure
why, don't care why, it just proves
our love is not a lie.

Lies and deception are things I'm
used to so it's hard for me to grasp
the thought of a relationship without
a woman who lies or deceives me.

Sometimes I wake up and look around
to see if you really are here with me,
or if I am in a dream, and when I see
you my heart goes into my throat
because I know you really are real,
and the love we share is quite rare.
