Freedom tale

Freedom tale

A Poem by Elizabeth Cooper

Laying loft I gazed at the empty sky
A rough bellona of white sheets
Like our bed it unified
Birds and clouds and wind and feats

Fears and darkness and imaginary roots
Trembling located the directionless breeze
How i wonder this sensation today
That today i stand stronger

A new side of me appears
And I didn't recognise it earlier
Freedom tales were only heard
But today i stood as a warrior

Alone i could stand and gulp
Pay and turn and think nothing at all
Alone i could walk joyous,
Sip the dark coffee from the stall

All the while i only experienced
How this girl has grown up wide
The one lover of four walls
Now walks on the streets with pride.

A wonderful poem dear poet. Elizabeth, a hard lesson to learn. We are stronger than we believe.

I did like the strength of the above lines. Thank you dear poet for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
