The darkness consumes,

The light disperses,

The pain appears disguised as love,

While the love disappears disguised as pain,

Torture replaces care,

This is the confusion known as life.

This is very good, intense writing. Sometimes life is all storms and gloomy days, but it passes. The sun will rise and birds will sing, for that is the way of the world.
