TFHU Chapter 1 - Unstoppable and Carriage Bandit Attack.

Oz has found himself in the Winston Kingdom as he about to go his way an unexpected bandit attack on a carriage. Too bad for them a monstrosity has found them.

Fufu, using mana to lift me up from the ground and fly across the skies is such a blessing feeling. So, this is the Winston Kingdom? Well least it's not the Empire since the heroes are there, so the king is, in fact, an emperor? Does not matter to me, since I am here now might as well have a look around, or that what I thought. As I stopped hearing something going on below me.

Bandit: Well isn't this a beauty!

Bandit: Boys tonight is going to be a blast!

Bandit: You said it, brother!

Said the ill-mannered group of people, that seems to be attacking this carriage by all sides. As for the carriage side, appears to be a rounded fat man and a young woman with a sword, hmm, I can't see well enough from where I am. But for some reason this makes me want a closer look, shall I?

Unknown: Father, stay behind me.

Unknown: Isn't my job to protect you, my daughter! Ellen run away! It's a parent job to protect their child!

Ellen: Then it's my job to protect my family! What are you going to do father? You cannot even know how to swing a sword.

Unknown: I know I am such a useless father, and I might be unable to defend myself! But still!

Bandit: Enough bonding time, do not worry daddio, once we are finished with her we send her with you in the afterlife!

Said the bandit, as the young woman with her longsword stay her ground and carefully observes her surroundings. Fufu, well isn't she interesting, such brave one is she? Well since I am interested in the outcome, I will interfere if things end up bad~

Bandit: Try not to harm her too much! Hahaha!

Ellen: Disgusting...

The young woman that named was Ellen right? Dodges the first bandit attack and then blocked the second bandit, with a slash of her longsword to counterattack the bandit that she blocked cutting him down. Hmm this not good, seeing her level of strength just now, she going to lose, seems like I have to interfere in this fight after all~ 

Bandit: This *B-Word*!

Said the bandit with the spear as he thrust the spearhead at Ellen as she slides to the right to avoid the blade of the spear as the bandit smirked as the spearhead did miss her but another way to use a spear other than simply stabbing and thrusting, that is using the pole, the handle as a blunt weapon which in this case the pole of the spear hit Ellen that knocked her to the ground.

Ellen: Ack!

Unknown: Ellen!?

Bandit: Stab her leg! So, she will not able flee, ahahaha!

When the spear bandit user grins as he about to thrust the spearhead into Ellen's leg as she closes her eyes...

Oz: It'd be a shame If this beautiful young lady happened to have a nasty scar, wouldn't it?

As I picked up Ellen before the spearhead pierced her leg, with her in my arms, as she opened her eyes and looked at me, as our eyes met, looking into her sky blue eyes with her long pink hair, she is light or is it me just that strong? As her face blushes realising what going on.

Ellen: Eh!? Wh-Who are you!?

Oz: Oh, now I look closer at you, you need more beautiful up close.

Ellen: Eh...? Ehhh!? Let me down!?

As I let Ellen down as she requested, and for the bandits that are looking at me blankly.

Bandit: What this??

Bandit: When did he come here??

Bandit: Stop daydreaming, get him!

The bandits went, shall we dance? As I move faster than they can see and hit one of the bandits back of the neck. Well, one shouldn't take life too lightly, well might as well curse him for his crime no?

Nothing much just that every time he is going to do something evil, he will see the one thing he feels shamed off instead.

Bandit: How...? Wasn't he just there?? And now he over there??

Bandit: Pull it together! No way someone like that exists!

Bandit: Shut up, and just kill him already!

Oz: Oh you lot want me to die huh? Not going to be easy~~

I said while dodging their attacks, the arrows and the swords of these bandits. Time to knock them out and cursed them at the same time~~

Bandit: Ack!

Bandit: Nononon! Ack!

Bandit: What kind of monster is this!?

Oz: I am undoubtedly human you know.

I said face to face to the bandit that said it, which due to being frightened of me he passed out before wetting himself, I am that frightening?

Bandit: Flee!

Oz: Not going to let you~

Bandit: Monster!

Oz: How many times do I have to inform you I am human?

Bandit: Mummy!

Oz: No use calling your mother by this point of life?

With one bandit dead and 32 of them knocked out by me, the curse I cast on them will stop them in the future~ So I went back to Ellen, and that fat rounded middle-aged man is at.

Unknown: Oh its over...

Ellen: This is a first someone not killing bandits which is a common thing to do since they outlaws?

Oz: Well, I just not in the mood to kill that all.

Ellen: What kind of answer is that...?

Oz: I am Oz.

Tom: Well Oz, on behalf of the Mayen household, thank you... I am ashamed I cannot reward with money.

Ellen: Ellen Mayen. Father I know! Why not invite Mister Oz for a meal, I am sure we can do all that much right?

Tom: You surely right, not much I can do Mister Oz. I might be a noble, but my status as one is only baron, and I am the lord of a village farm, I am not sure if this poor nobleman can really repay you...

Oz: Drop the mister part, I am no nobleman. But I am honoured to. After all, I do not know much about these parts, and I only ask for a place to stay for a while.

I was planning to make myself a base within some forest or such. But since I cannot remember much about this world might be an excellent choice to stay with fellow humans to remember the small things.

Tom: That all...? If that so! You can stay as long you want! After you saved our lives.

Ellen: Once again, thank you.

Ellen said with a bow, and Tom is blasting in tears, seeing such a rounded fat man that height is 167cm tall is acting very weird since he is a noble, the ones I know off they full of pride. Interesting fat rounded man~

Odds: Seems like I can communicate with the spirits, Master. From the information I gain from them seems like these two speaking the truth and furthermore, the reason why they so poor is the debt they own of 1,000 gold 10 times more then they borrowed 100 gold.

I can't remember any of them... but I do understand the 10 difference bit, that means the debt of 1,000 gold and be either 100,000 silvers or 10,000,000 coppers.

Oz: You said you are having trouble with money?

Tom: We are a farming village after all. But the fields of our village reduce in the months, we cannot pay the tax as an old friend of mine borrowed me the money...

Ellen: Borrowed? Father, they con us! They made you sign the contract to pay over ten times the amount! The Winston Kingdom takes 40% of the income as tax as the rest of the money belongs to us father, but the fields are damaged.

Tom: Ellen... I will deal with this matter... I am sorry for this mister, I mean Oz, my family owned 1,000 gold, hahaha...

Ellen: Father is it alright to tell someone we just met about this?

Tom: It's no secret Ellen, I am just a failure of a lord and father...

Ellen: That is not true!

Oz: Fields are damaged you say?

Ellen: Yeah... first it was one field then two, and until three fields of land we farm on, all together these fields bring in around 100 gold each month... which 40 goes to tax and 60 to the village. But with 3 fields of land that been ruined which made only enough to cover the tax... nothing else...

Tom: 100 gold a month and 1,200 gold a year we make, it will take us few years to pay them back but that 100 gold I borrowed was to hire someone to look into the fields... why they not growing anything...

Fufu how weird to con them with 10 times more debt then they borrowed right after their lands are ruined~? Something is at mist here, something very interesting is behind this~ behind this family debt. As I plot away we got onto the carriage as we chat until we reached a village as soon it appears a warm smile is shown on Ellen's face as she gazed at the village ahead.

Ellen: There its is, Lindow! We home.

As we enter the village of Lindow, seems very peaceful place the houses are made with wood, as the villagers waved at the carriage going past them while they are working on the field that not been ruined yet. They really are beloved by their people. Well isn't this due to Tom? He seems more down to earth then the nobles I know in the database.

Odds: That is true Master, the people of this part of land do indeed like their lord, Tom and his daughter, Ellen, the Mayen family might be a small noble family of baron rank. But the villagers are treated as equals which are uncommon between nobles and commoners.

Fufu, is that so~? Maybe it was the right choice for me to come here~ as I think of that as we passed the gates to the mansion on top of this village hill. Seeing the big white house with a beautiful garden around us.

Ellen: Looks like Sue flowers finally bloomed father!

Tom: Truly an excellent maid. Even if I cannot pay for the rest of the maids to remain here, thanks to Sue still staying here... I am surely thankful!

Oh, he is crying again, fufu what a fascinating nobleman to treat his servant like that.

Unknown: Welcome back Master, young miss.

Said the woman that in her late 20s, with her short to her shoulders black coal hair with black dress she is wearing and a white apron on top of this dress, she seems very mature as she stood there awaits for Tom and Ellen.

Ellen: We back Sue.

Tom: Thank you for waiting for us.

Sue: The pleasure all mine... we have a guest?

Sue, the maid, said as she notices me getting off, such a sweet smell from the flowers in this garden.

Tom: He is our savour, Oz he is called.

Sue: The honour is mine, thank you for saving them. Shall I make some tea?

Tom: That be nice. What about it Oz?

Oz: Tea??

Ten thousand years inside that place makes me forgot about the taste of such matters. As well I can easily replace food and water needs with mana. One of the many useful things I learn in that white room after all~
