Divine Deity

Divine Deity

A Poem by Anima Inspired

The sky for me holds only clouds,
and the deep blue of an overhead ocean
spinning yarns of natural beauty
for all those who choose to lend an ear.

Above is just as it is below, a sacred land
devoid of a creator’s hand, save the bursting
of atoms and the mingling of molecules

binding, creating, giving birth to nature’s children,
succumbing to the struggle that is only known
by the psyche grown from evolution’s broad brush

where the painting of our souls is but a mural
mingling and ever changing, breathing life
that bursts electricity compounded by sacrifice.

For we are the children of a solar system, a planet
decked-out with undeniable streaks of starlight
mixed within our skin and hair, feeding

off of one another’s electricity, connecting
to the ever changing, every broadening,
ever elusive collective conundrum that

has become this life we live each day.

Oh, wow! I like this one with all of your nature connecting and painting of the small nuances of the collective world and universe. You write amazing poems with love as the theme, but you write unbelievable poems of nature. I just love the way that you show things that we see everyday in such a creative and word-deepened way.
Amazing!

You have the uncanny ability to break things down to the simplest, yet most vivid form in such few words. For me, your poetry reads like a simple recipe, but somehow you manage to tackle such deep subjects. It's as though in your opening stanzas you wipe the reader's mind clean as though you are turning our minds to a fresh new page before you begin to draw your masterpiece. This opening stanza is no different...

The sky for me holds only clouds,
and the deep blue of an overhead ocean
spinning yarns of natural beauty
for all those who choose to lend an ear.

That's really, really good stuff to chew on.

I also like this stanza;

where the painting of our souls is but a mural
mingling and ever changing, breathing life
that bursts electricity compounded by sacrifice.

I would tell you that you're great, but I don't want that going to your head :P

This was an evocative, articulate, very spiritual (for me) experience of a read. Your words are amazing. It is writers like yourself that inspire writers like me to improve their craft and hone their creativity. Thank you for the read.

Your work is always so hard to review. You create so many vivid images for the mind to navigate through that it can be somewhat of a let-down in my opinion to add a review to such perfection. Your Divine Deity poem elicits such a conundrum. I could only compare it to an actual super nova, since that is in fact what I felt as I read the poem. The feeling of mental bliss simply warmed/{{vibed}} through and over me as I read this poem.

I felt the retentive warmth of a bursting super nova! Thank god I was trillions of miles away, I barely felt the electromagnetic shockwave...just enough to make me vibe electric with you for a millisecond or two.

What an incredible piece of writing, it's an beautiful, inspiring, optimistic reminder of our place within the various aspects of our world, the wholeness of life. We are indeed children of the solar system but we are more, we are who we are because of Him .. some would speak only from the scientific view, of course .. Whatever or whichever the viewpoint, each of us is a mere link in the chain of LIFE, past, present, future.

Thank you for sharing.

All things are interconnected and is ever changing Indeed! I am pleased to read another that agrees with this cycle and understands the harmonic value to our happiness.

I really enjoyed the verses here and their message is well said.BRAVO !!!! Very Harmonic and touching to the soul. Painting the mural of life ....excellent message thank you.

Above is just as it is below, a sacred land
devoid of a creator's hand, save the bursting
of atoms and the mingling of molecules

Life for me is a ever changing metamorphosis.
