![]() Shades of GrayA Poem by Anima Inspired
Sometimes when I walk outside,
give myself over to the thick dampness
of fog rolling off of a restless sea,
I think of you…
When I close my eyes, and
allow the scent of sand and water
to seep beneath the surface of my skin,
the echo of your fingertips haunts me,
leaving traces of infinity
for me to ponder while
I try to quiet the sound of blood
rushing to my head,
making me dizzy, delirious,
defining my existence,
in that moment when memory
seems to tangle with what is real,
and for seconds you are here,
hiding within the folds of my tarnished soul. © 2008 Anima InspiredReviews
