Indelible Ink

Indelible Ink

A Poem by Anima Inspired

I find company in isolation,
sitting under the velvet blanket
of a night too dark for brilliance,
on a rooftop sanctuary
where I can almost see
the beauty of life

Beyond the stars

I see your hands
cupping the earth,
steadying her rotations,
and giving smooth motion to
the surging waves of my mortality,

and if I close my eyes long enough

the path of life becomes obvious;
I see moments spin toward years
unyielding in their acceleration
until my destiny is
scrawled across the heavens
in the indelible ink of starlight.

where I can almost see
the beauty of life -- Nicely written.

scrawled across the heavens
in the indelible ink of starlight. -- Perfectly imaged.

I like this piece very much...I adore how you wove the imagery through it, in and out of it, in such a way that you painted a perfect picture for us to see quite clearly.

Great write.
And congrats on being published in the Boston Literary! They are indeed a fine magazine. Nicely done.

Fantastic again, I love that image inedible ink of starlight... I feel it is saying that nothing is ever defined in your life cause thing change. This is a wondrous look at the beauty in the spontaneity of life.

Oh, I loved it. So beautiful, and the message is very sweet, at least in my head it is.

This one is a little different than the others, it seems far more spiritual. I like the sentiment.

The second verse is wonderful, and the metaphor deep. I like that oneness between man and nature that you touch off of in your poems, but this one especially. It almost seems to convey a meditational splendor in it all. =)
