Swelling,
tidal waves of
ferocious intensity,
hurdling toward
infinity in the shape
of rocks and bluffs,
tied to the whims
of a faceless moon
I am water
tears falling
from a silver sky
dancing for only
the time it takes
to dry me up,
but still I drop
tirelessly soldiering
through the endless night
I am water
placid in pools,
calm in countless
lakes and ponds
where I house life,
create life and give
life to beings desperate
with a thirst that only
I can quench
I am water,
the giver and taker,
the ever malleable substance
that rages and in the same breath
falls silent, drifting,
soothing, feeling
oh i am water calm in lakes and ponds, harbor life,i make life ,everyone is needs me to quench his thirst,i am forever calm ,forever raging and then calm again ,i run down cheeks ,i fall from sky dancing for time to dry me up but i fall through the night, through the endless night,i am emotions ,i am natures rage ,i am a maker of life and i store life within, oh what great images ,i could go for hours telling about this ,just wonderful..
Sublime. very, very nice. I love the water, and this poem does it justice. It is quite the powerful current... and being tied to the moon makes it even more lovely. Excellent piece! Very well written!!
I like how this is worded. Water being the essence of life, which it is. We are mainly composed of water and could not live without it. The way that you start out with something big like the ocean and tide to lakes and ponds is nice. Very nice to read.
I love the idea of becoming water - I used to imagine what it would be like as a child, and it's very similar to the emotions & beautiful imagery that you described in this poem.^^ Excellent job, this was a worthwhile read! =) I especially loved: "tears falling / from a silver sky / dancing for only / the time it takes / to dry me up" :D
