What Holds Us BackA Poem by Jameson SinclairStill, I find descriptions extraneous. And in the darkest nights I wander Creeping
slowly behind your back And
in the daylight hours I’ll still be found In
every hamlet, hovel, or shack I come to those who need me least And
haunt them without end I
tear at their hearts and eat at their souls And
in their misery, I’ve grinned And every day my power grows, And my host does lose their mind They
introspect tirelessly Without an answer left to find I’ve toppled nations and killed many men Yet the
world can’t live without And
as I seep into your thoughts You
will know that I am doubt © 2011 Jameson SinclairAuthor's Note
