Lessons from the privilegedA Poem by ThisismythearpyJust another middle of the night piece regarding how I hate it when people I've met who have always had it made try to give advice about things they clearly do not understand.Telling people it is not about what they are It is about what they will become As you drive your nice car Every place you go you are welcome When you are in such a good place in life And you always have been You have no place to give advice To those who have yet to win Wasting my life away in depression My life has already peaked So for you see a lesson Since such a good life you seem to keep The universe is absolute chaos A roll of the dice So lower your nose Everything thing that happened in your life Was the universe picking favorites Give me the damned Those who have always lost Those who never planned For a life that is such a lost cause We are the unprivileged Raised by the damned With hardships that are unlimited While you relax on sand Do not try to teach me about life When you sleep soundly every night
