Cartoon character

One of the dumbest things I've ever written. I found it in my notebook. It's about always dressing the same. Pretty personal.

They like my beard

Though they do not know it is not a stylistic choice

I was just too depressed to shave

People comment on my long hair

That I refused to cut out of fear

Of being bullied 

Some say I look like a cartoon character

I wear the same clothes every day

Black pocket tee

Worn dark jeans

I don’t want to wear a shirt with graphics

Because I fell in love

With someone who dressed like me

Liked what I liked

Did what I did

Now they’re gone

So I dress bland

I am afraid of that happening again
