Intrusive thoughts

Intrusive thoughts

A Poem by Thisismythearpy
"

About the struggle of fighting deepening depression while your intrusive thoughts fight you.

"

I would like to say I am battling depression

Though I feel like I have lost

The same as someone who climbs mountains

But never reaches the top

Like someone who runs a marathon

But never sees the end

Someone who feels like it will soon be over

When it has only just began

I would like to say I’m fighting

Pushed up against the ropes

I would like to say I’m trying

When I have lost all  my hope

In fact maybe I’m lying

To myself every night

 Maybe I’m lying

When I say I will be alright
