Chains

Chains

A Poem by Thisismythearpy
"

I think I wrote this to myself as motivation but I honestly can't recall. With my mind it's easy to forget why some things are written.

"

I am a slave to all of my regret

To all the things I long to forget

These chains I need to break

Are the chains that hold me in place

Looking into my own face

I ask myself to change

Though change does not come

At least not enough to show

I know I’m not done

I’m trying my best, just so you know

I really am

Well it's a good reminder that you're trying. Those chains become rusted over time and easier to break, I promise you that. Thanks for sharing.
