Hospital visit

Not sure if I was making a poem or what. It's just a rambling note in my phone. True story though.

Even before I really knew you 

I cared 

When I heard you were in the hospital 

I knew what I wanted to do 

I didn't know about the events that placed you there 

How the trauma of what happened gave you anxiety 

I just knew I wanted to be there for you

I'm sorry I didn't visit 

I promise I wanted to

But now you've left me on my own

Sitting in my own bed 

From the trauma of losing you 

If we were small and meaningless together 

I wouldn't feel like this after so long 

I know where I belong
