You can read my words, but not feel my pain.

Writing poetry 

When you can't be what you want to be

Venting to an audience you don't know

Trying to feel whole

They can't see the tears running down your face

As you write alone in a dark place

They don't feel your pain

Can't be in your brain

They read your work

But not feel your hurt

You are just words

Maybe they will be heard

By someone who feels the same
