We loved eachother, but it wasn't fair to me.![]() Every day at 6 o'clock At your door I would knock Greeted with a warm smile After my drive of a mile As time went on , I'd come to your door In order to stay, I'd have to do a chore I worked away almost every day Because someday It wasn't supposed to be that way At the end of the hour My mood would sour Because then I would have to go home I worked to lighten your load In hopes one day we would grow old Every visit filled with chores Any time I would walk through that door A labor of love For my angle from above I love you So any chore I would do Did you love me though? After a year of working me, you told me to go This is how I feel You needed to know
