Left behind

Just a poem about being left behind by someone extremely important.

Left behind and watch everyone else move on 

while you’re stuck and alone

They could go on without you 

But you can’t go on without them

Sometimes everything feels fine

Others you feel worse than you ever have before

In the end they were still your best friend

Making it even harder when they left

Maybe you weren't the same to them

But that's not what they told you

Someday again they might hold you

Or avoid you

Only time will tell

They were your heaven

Now you’re in hell

Only time will tell

It’s okay to dwell on the past

Those memories will always last

Its the past because it’s passed by

But those memories will never die

Keep them

Maybe they hold you in place 

But at least they help you learn from you mistakes

In case you ever get to try again
