Heart of goldA Poem by ThisismythearpyLike I always say, I'm not a writer. This is just therapy. Everything I post is pulled un-edited from the muddled lines of a notebook I kept when I ran away jumping between state parks. You say I've got a heart of gold but that tired line is getting old. If I had a heart of gold it surely would have been sold. It'll pay for for bottles of medicine, to un-do every evil sin. The ones that slowly made me fall. But hey, at least I gave my all. Heart of gold, veins of black. Realize there's no going back. For now I'll live in chemical dependency. So if you ask, that's what happened to me.
