Fear...

Fear...

A Poem by Jola

Fear

I am afraid...
Inner fear
He replaced my ego.
He held sway in me,
He is stretching with elbows until the heart.
- It aches
The body is crying but is submissive and silent.
In some day...
I will shut myself away in blue,
I will become the nothingness
Maybe I will find the way
- to the eternal peace.

Having given away something, by allowing that something to replace something else - we will find ourselves facing the nothing left behind by the loss of that something - yet it is a cruel nothing that is not nothing, but rather it is a new something - the realization of the something originally lost. From that point, we can only wish for this new sadistic nothing to be replaced with an actual nothing. Yet, we cannot know if that nothing will ever come to be - or if, ironically so - it will be yet another something that is but a painful reminder of something else lost. In realizing that there really is nothing such as nothing, in realizing that even nothing is something, we might strive through to remember that this nothing that replaced something which was something is yet another something that can be replaced. The words go around and around, apparently holding little meaning - but the meaning is that we can once more find meaning in something else, that something else can fill that void - replacing that haunting nothing that grows as a bane within us as the torturous memory of a previous something. There is always something new, good - bad - neutral - it is a constant.
