Moon

Moon

A Poem by Jola

Moon, come today to me
You are wandering on world from ages
And make me up a bed and system from rays
Let this shine will sweep out sorrows from her

Let hang shining starlets
Let rain isn't raining today
With enchanted fleeting moment
arrange fairy-tale dreams for me

Wrap me in warm breath
Wet skin assuage
Hum your lullaby
When your mouth will touch my ears

Rock in the sensitive cradle
Cause,let my soul dance
Paint dreams with colours
With silver, darken and of orange

Hold me by the hand firmly
To I wouldn't lose my way in my dreams
Guard very close at the heart
To the white day

Friend, guardian - set me free, keep me safe - is it too much to ask, though we do ask? We slip away into sleep, another world, as we step upon the path of dreaming of all that could be, might be, well...maybe. As the Sun lights our path as we set about the day, so too does the Moon light our path as we set about the night. Two journeys, awkwardly parallel yet oft without correlation - we walk the two paths, one grounded in the reality of the day and the other in the fantasy of the night. We seek control in our days, wrapped in the relative norm. Yet come the night, we wish to dance upon fancy - escaping our reality. We trust in the Moon to be our dance partner, that the Moon will mind its manners, and when the dance is done - that the Moon shall lead us back to our seats so we may await the approaching dawn. Two sides of the same, so different - yet not.

Such a beautiful, sensual write, moving through dreams and daylight visions. So wonderfully done!
