The Mocking Goose.

The Mocking Goose.

A Poem by Naomi Montana Walsh
"

Inspired by nonsense..poetry.. the Jabberwocky : Lewis Carrol

"
Somehow it seems to fill my head with ideas--only I don't exactly know what they are!" (Carroll The Annotated Alice 197).

Dwither I go,
the mocking goose calling my name,

past the mirrored reflection where we both look the same.

Dwither and numbled  beguiled by she.

The mocking  goose

mocks as well as me.

Dwither we scramble and tangled up tumble.

I've no patience for this mockery , the mocking

goose mocking exactly me.

Dwither we will , or dwither we not.

The goose and the gander cast the same lot.

Tangled and tumbled

the mocking goose game, calling and scrawling, and mocking my name.

I always liked the Jabberwocky..because it is totally understandable once you let go of the fact it is filled with nonsense words..

Wow. This was pretty awesome.
It would make a great song.
It has a profound meaning when
you think about self reflection.

This is great and dwither makes perfect sense to me...
I remember Jabberwocky well but as a kid, I remember thinking he was perfectly insane. lol. I wondered what strange island he lived on, he was soo off the planet. Ahh, but that is the mind of a child there.
This poem is wonderful fun. I especially loved the line...
Well done indeed

'Past the mirrored reflection where we both looked the same'.

That there, is a masterful piece of writing. It could have been passed but past works also.

lol. this is tickling. it is such a fun poem. a mocking goose is a good way to describe a mirror. at least i think that is what this is about.

This is very playful, and nonchalant; I love it! It reminds me of nursery rhymes, and makes for a wonderful little ditty. "Dwither" is a nice touch! Thanks for sharing!

Hey sometimes jibberish makes the most sense... I must say this was quite the tongue teaser... fast and fun... to me it has a meaning, that life is too short to put up with people's petty games.
