Faith's Foolish HeartA Poem by Naomi Montana Walshslightly revampedFaith's Foolish Heart Faith never lacks in her devotion. She tempts the heart to walk out to the edge of Love and we all know love is blind. Faith, what has she to do with reason?. Have her , hold her, set her free. Faith is always trying to bridge my tempest seas, she whispers in my ear “ Go, I'll be there” . But sometimes , I have lost sight of her and feel so very alone, without that foolish Faith's heart to guide me. So, I call out to her and she comes, her hand is hard to hold and sometimes she says, “Don't look down , you'll fall”. I look upward to the sky and she is right again. I have walked through forest of deep depression, always looking up. Faith runs ahead of me, she calls back. “ Don't worry, if you lose sight of me, I'll find you”, and she always does. © 2010 Naomi Montana WalshReviews
