Poetry is prayer

I go down on my knees

and I ask for revelation

poetry answers

Poetry is prayer

and It is a sacred

thing.

Poets know what I mean.

Words are devotions

hopes and dreams and confessions.

God is a poet.

My heart just melted. This is a touching piece. It was soft and sincere, like heartfelt poetry sounds best. In many ways poetry is a prayer, thankfully or mournfully, we write. We pray the same and likewise I believe God answers Joyfully or full of sorrow. But it hit strong with me when you connected poetry/poets with God. That was very unique and appreciated by me. I've never really thought about it that way. Thank you.

As prayer is our emotions of the day given to God, poetry is our emotions of the day written to God. Very wise words and so much said in such a short space. Poetry and prayer are cross threaded. Both are based on the moment in our life when we surrender these emotions either to God or paper. If you notice prayer and poetry both start with a p. Beautiful writing.

Poetry is like prayer ,meditation..you have to go in a trance to create
To feel detached from all around to play wonders and stun others
To live in a far off world of your own..a sacred place..

he is too light like a soul trying to flee..they both start to sing
they want all to enjoy the images they make..music soft and stealthy in the air
