Sweet little lambs

Sweet little lambs

A Poem by Naomi Montana Walsh
"

This poem is about innocence and those who we want to protect and take care of.

"

Oh My Sweet little lamb

Mary's lost you again.

There are wolves in the wild

be careful darling child.

Oh my darling..little sheep

Where is little Bo Peep?

She has left you, now come home.

Little ones should never roam.

The world is full of wonder and surprise,

It’s full of truth and full of lies.

Take the time to become wise.

With no shepard to help you find your way

be careful where you stray.

If you need me , I’ll be near

I’ll love you always little dears.

You can wonder if you must

A little curiosity and lust and someone like me

That you can trust.

Remember my precious sheep as you sow, so shall you reap.

I really enjoye reading this piece, it comes off as a motherly tone, just because it seems so loving and caring and yet wise and protective. The poem has a great flow though, really I liked this, I think if ever I worried about some one and really needed something to encourage me to go and help them with their problems and life challenges then I would read this and take the words into heart, it means that innocence isn't something we should just give away, it's something that deseves to be guarded and protected, every essence of the word. There's a divine purity in this, the innocence of a child comes off very strongly here. I love it! Good work! I've never read any thing quite so pure! Really greaat job! your an amazing talented writer with a good head on your shoulders. Keep up the good work and keep writing!
Love,

I do not know for sure but it may supposed to be deers instead of dears so I would check on that. The poem is adorable and I think of children instead of friends. You do have to let them adventure out but it is sure scary because the big bad wolf ....(which I hate to use that scenaria , especaily since I just got done reviewing a wonderful poem about real wolves but you know what I mean)

I like this! It's eloquently profound and resonates long after you finish it. It made me think!

I think if everyone approached the world like this it would be very different. Children would be exposed to such horrible things at such a young age.
I love lambs, theyre so cute and fuzzy!!

absolutelly wonderful lines...sad and beautiful like the experiances we feel when growing up and those of the people who watch over us..

It feels very topical given todays horrible news story. I agree that the piece rests on the last stanza and see that is infact has many ways it can be read.

The last stanza put it all together for me.
Where I live a child is abducted off the street
everyday and never seen again. Probably
winding up in Thailand.

Good work!
