Mute Messages

Mute Messages

A Poem by Naomi Montana Walsh
"

Just a poem I wrote when I felt I talked too much

"

I wished to remain mute, but my lips let things slip

my lips sank ships.

Silence is not always innocent.

To confess is not always to be blessed, to have no confessions because of innocence is best.

If your lips slip or slide in odd directions, force them to smile or frown for these are silent inflections of joy and sadness that no one can question.

I wish not to speak in words, but rather mute messages.

That are felt and not heard.

Oh wow I love it... it is witty and fun... it rolls off the tongue and the message rings so true... we are human and prone to error and actions do speak louder then words when it come to loved ones. I love the sharp powerful wording.
