Mute MessagesA Poem by Naomi Montana WalshJust a poem I wrote when I felt I talked too much
I wished to remain mute, but my lips let things slip my lips sank ships. Silence is not always innocent. To confess is not always to be blessed, to have no confessions because of innocence is best. If your lips slip or slide in odd directions, force them to smile or frown for these are silent inflections of joy and sadness that no one can question. I wish not to speak in words, but rather mute messages. That are felt and not heard. © 2009 Naomi Montana WalshReviews
