Good Day Sunshine?

Good Day Sunshine?

A Poem by Naomi Montana Walsh
"

I am not fond of hot hot summer days. I really don't hate the sun but when it hits high 90's it think it's over doing it's job.

"

Good day sunshine, what have you in store for me today?

I suspect the same heavy swelter

sting my flesh like a bee , red and restless

I like cool rain  no pain in that ..

I watch the weather reports ..decending numbers of degrees

Please....

everything is heavier in the heat.

no blankets no sheet.

Good day sunshine.

Hell is hot and so are you.

i agree completely!! this is the first poem of yours that i've read, i picked it because of the question mark in the title, and my lack of air-conditioning. i really appreciated the humor, but i especially liked that you added some weight to the lightness (everything is heavier in the heat). that line keeps echoing in my head, in a good way...thank you :)

Nice, short, and sweet. Loved the line " suspect the same heavy swelter / sting my flesh like a bee."
