Unadulterated SenseA Poem by Kendra
My words go nowhere.
They tangle in my hair. Drill into my hard palate back into the cranium from which they were birthed. Return home. Fluttering in a strangled breeze. Needle sharp air, puncturing lungs. Like the gasp of awe before a raven connects with a wire Cruelly incinerated. Plummeting to the ground. Body now... Dark as night, thin as day. Despair. ~Heartache~ Gentle tendrils of amber flavor burn acrid smoke, slither up my spine. Swim in my ears. Around my eyes. Breathe. Piebald. Grey dappled green. Sashay spin. Avoid contact. Fall into the machines. Dressed, squeaky clean. Perfume...stashed in delicate and expensive crystal. Quickly extracted, equally applied. No hair out of place. Perfect perfection. No one is p e r f e c t. Ramifications of fucked up... Lives. Hearts. Lusts. Loves. Desperations. Monstrosities. A coalescing climb. Into one mind. One moment of pure white hot ice stars. One immense rose. Plush pink. Constantly plucked. Fingers are buried in the midst of satin inches. Divulging on the sweater version of the skies. "T o b e o r n o t t o b e ?" I've got a perfect body. Because my eyelashes escape my sweat. You are the ocean, I, the reef. Promptly submerged, routinely uncovered. During correct intervals. It makes unadulterated sense. One is caressing the other. At all times. Protective wet lips kiss loving particles. Seashell. Sea-shall. Cry to me, will you? I'm beginning to miss the burn of salt on a spring time blossom rainstorm that buoys me out of a Dreamchaser's dream.
