What I Can't Say.

What I Can't Say.

A Poem by Kendra

I've got something to tell you.
A splatter of darkness on the tapes of canvas voices,
in your head.
I've got a secret to bestow upon you.
A faded photograph with stains on the glass,
stone faced, encrypted messages branded into your mind.
One thing, a murdered word, escaping unexpectedly; whisps of smoke.
Travel into your lungs like a demon and spread disease within.
A favorite sin.
Frozen lakes, though as deceivingly as they appear,
will crack underneath your trembling legs.
A quick splash will resonate within the area.
All will be forgotten.
All steps lost.
Except for why you trod upon a broken path.
