~The~Place~I~Call~You~

~The~Place~I~Call~You~

A Poem by Kendra

Breathe across the eave of retribution.
Take care to note the simple facts of this addiction.
This need that seems to perish and then arise
in flamboyant transgression.
Reaping what I have sown through articles of damnation.
In words I scream with no sound reverberating against empty faces.
Heeding the remarks and continuing the races.
Fearing everything,
Greedy for the next taste..
The next burn...
Of that K to my flesh and searing love of the flame.
That ecstasy that delves into me when things connect..
ARISE!
Meet me in the sunset.
When the sky is pouring the blood of our ancestors on the landscape.
Where a friend meets a foe...
Where pain becomes pleasure.
Where it takes a tear to break you dear,
the world forever ending.
Favoring policies of making sense.
People walk the streets. Some sexual needs making them dense.
Others just to pay the rent.
Junkies scattered through the town.
Backlots battered. Heated and frowned.
Life used and abused. Defective and corrective,
In this place I call...
You.
