What was I?

What was I?

A Poem by Jennifer
"

What was I to you? Anything? At all?

"

I think of you at night

Giving you my most intimate embrace

Holding you in my arms

Never wanting to let you go

You cradled me in your arms

Soothed me with your voice

Let me seek refuge in your bed

Made love to me like no other

No, no.

It wasn’t love

It was sex

Just another girl for you

Oh no.

I’m not just another girl

Have you already forgotten?

Or do you just want to forget?

Ha-ha-ha

You said my name so many times

“Jennifer”

Ugh, I just can’t believe you’d do this to me

It’s not all your fault,

It’s mine too

But it’s a ten year difference

And you should’ve put a stop to it

So, who am I?

I am Jennifer

A daughter, friend, niece, girlfriend

And your sister.
