Guilty as Charged...

Guilty as Charged...

A Poem by Jennifer
"

This is something that I thought would never cross my mind, but it has and I realize this is the most likely outcome.

"

And her smile burst forth from her soul

Playing across her sadden lips

For this wasn’t an occasion that most were happy

But in her eyes in marked the end of suffering

The faces around her glared

But she knew they could never understand

Being held prisoner in your own mind

He forever changed her life

She rose from the chair

And walked silently out the door

She felt a pang of guilt

But knew that now, no one could help him

She laughed as she walked down the steps

Pausing to glance at the court behind her

I’d do it all over again,

‘Cause I got away with it.
