Angel of Sorrow

Angel of Sorrow

A Poem by AngelofSorrow

My presence here on this earth, is for no one to notice.
I am nothing but a fallen angel, sent to earth.

My broken wings can no longer hold me up,
or take me anywhere, for i am trapped in my own sea of depression
I have nothing, i am nothing.
My candle is just an ember, my time has almost come.

Wishing for someone to help, calling for them.
My wish is finally answered, my broken heart mending itself, slowly.
When i had started to lose hope, my savior had come,
healing my immortal wounds, he has given me a purpose.

A purpose, of which i will not soon forget.

I think you could have made it better with more imagery, Some poems just seem to flourish the imagery and some don't. I really think yours would have. Don't get me wrong, Its a great piece!
Only thing i could change is in this line; "My broken wings can no longer hold me up,". I think you should cut to the "me up" part in it. There's no room for unnecessary words in a poem, It can severely cripple the flow. One part i really liked is the 'sea of depression', I can really connect there.

"happiness is but a distraction, from the darker side of life"
a little quote that i thought of one day....

"this is my depression, praying for the day/ that the cold distraction will carry me away"
short poem i wrote the same day....

this poem reminds me of those two things i just put here...
i really like it

This poem is so emotional!!!! I felt like it was being directed directly at me, yet it had its own story... Wow. Words can't describe this poem.
