RebelA Poem by Meredith GraysonWhen innocent people reach their breaking point, sometimes they aren't afraid to let loose a little and join the dark side for a little getaway.I'm a rebel I don't care what people say Nothing stands in my way I'm a rebel Rules were meant to be broken My opinion needs to be spoken Some people are stupid and decide to end life But little they know, it has many sides
Some are nice, the others bad Some are happy, others sad I've decided to join the dark side No more "Ms. Nice Girl" I'm taking my stride After making one stupid mistake How is suicide the path to take
Be rebellious Ignore what people tell you to do You control your own life The choice is up to you I might decide to go back to the happy place But for now, you may never see a smile on my face
I'm gonna break the rules because they're meant to be broken I'm gonna enter this new world with my only token I'm gonna be with who I want Whether you like it or not I'm gonna let loose Gonna give it all I got
I'm a rebel My purity washed away Washed away like the sand by the bay I'm a rebel The choices I make won't be that deceiving Nothing I do will be a secret worth keeping
I'm a rebel now And it's all your fault Your cruel words made me reach my breaking point It's now time to open that vault The vault where I now finally decide To say goodbye to the happy, fun, joy ride Time to let my hair down and shake the good side off Time to take a risk, no matter what the cost
I'm a rebel I don't care what people say Nothing stands in my way I'm a rebel Rules were meant to be broken My opinion needs to be spoken So far the rebellious side has been a better place You can see it in every part of my face
