Demons

Demons

A Poem by AngeloRosell

As I pace
In my room
Losing control
Without knowing
Taking these steps
In my own world
Outside of the mind
I stand down a street
A dead end in fact
Where thick gloomy fog
Hugs you to sleep
I take a seat quietly
Completing the circle
Joining my buddies
Demons of the past
Who take refuge
In seeing me squirm
We exchange eager laughs
Under the piercing light
Presented by the moon
Holding their attention
Enough is Enough I say
Being polite and young
I explained my case
As my thoughts faded
My words stopping
Accepting smiles flashed
Teeth glowing bright
So I got up and
Left for good
Leaving the past behind
Releasing their grip
Now able to breath
My life has begun
