Sitting in Silence

Sitting in Silence

A Poem by Angelo412

It's dark
a little cold as well
But, nothing unbearable
I lay here
With my love
Except she's asleep
And I'm not

I can't fall asleep
I just can't
I wish she'd wake up

I feel as if I'm just not enough
Something of a bore to her
In this time I think of
All the things I can do
To become more interesting

I think deeper
And I always seem to hurt
Myself when I think
I think
“How come she's always wide
awake when she's around her friends
