Childhood Daze

Childhood Daze

A Poem by R. S. Morris

Don't know if it's good.
World changing in many ways,
Thankfully, no one can take away,
memories of my childhood daze.

The older one becomes,
the more each hair grays.
Who can barely recall yesterday.
Remember, their childhood daze.

The details may be fuzzy.
Line between right, wrong betrays.
Even when skewed through life,
cemented from your childhood daze.

There comes a time,
you don't know who you are.
Stewing in you own malaise.
You still remember, your childhood daze.

Ready to become an adult.
Your instincts and gut outweighs.
Instincts fostered and nurtured,
early on from your childhood daze.

For those living to old age,
Not caring your mind decays.
recalling loud and clear memories,
memories from your childhood daze.
