Little GirlA Poem by Angelita
The small little girl with hope in her heart
Looked to the world as a wonderful start To a new life that she would call her own Little did she know, she would feel alone Everywhere she went, it was all the same The bullying, the teasing, the calling names People, big and small, her age, younger Even the adults, their words stung her She would wander through the hallways Searching for relief in this world's maze Called life, every turn was a dead end Her soul started to twist and bend Pain, tears, heartbreak, sadness, sorrow Put them in a bottle and wait for tomorrow That was how she lived from day to day But the bottle never took any of it away The small girl, once filled with hope Found herself grown, at the end of her rope Barely hanging on to the piece of thread Wanting to give up and lay down her sweet head © 2013 AngelitaReviews
