Chapter 19A Chapter by Angelique"So what's new city girl?" Oliver asked me. "Please tell me that you are not going to continue using that nickname for me." "Nah, it's to lame. I will have to think of a more annoying name for you." I took my seat and Oliver took his next to me. "So like I was saying. What's new?" "Jordan tried to apologize." "Oh." Was all he could say. "I told him that I would get back to him on that matter. I really do like Jordan, but I feel like that is some business that I don't really want to get into. What do you think?" "It's your life." "You know him. You could advise me if I was making the right decision or not." "But Cece how would you know if I was telling you the truth or not? Rather ask one of the girls they will give you better advise than me." I sighed. "Okay." There was silent for a few minutes. "Oh, my grandmother would like to know if you would like to come over for dinner Sunday night?" Oliver asked me. "I would have to ask Rick because it is a school night." Of course." "But yeah, I would love to." "Cool...Maybe we can hangout before the time as well?" I was about to agree when I remembered my promise to Eve. "I can't, I am sleeping over at Eve's Saturday. So I will probably only be available Sunday afternoon sometime." "Eve...As in my Eve?" "What other Eve would I know?" Oliver shrugged. "Who knows, but Eve's family is religious." And?" "And you will have to leave by nine as they go to church. I groaned. "Damn, I hate waking up early." Oliver smirked. "I'll tell you what, I'll come pick you up and then you can rest a bit during the day. But at least hang out with me for a while." I smiled brightly. "Okay, that sounds like a plan." Oliver sent me one of his genuine smiles. "Hey Eve..." I trailed off. "Yeah." Eve said looking up from the scrapbook. As usual Eve, Abigail and myself sat underneath a tree while Oliver played his guitar. "Should I trust Jordan?" "Depends..." "Depends on what?" "What your intentions for him are." "Meaning?" "Meaning do you have any plans on dating him?" "As in boyfriend/girlfriend?" Eve closed her scrapbook and nodded at her question. "I don't know, I barely know him." "Well." She emphasized. "If you are only going to be friends with him, then feel free to open up to him. He's a really nice guy. But if you re planning to go out with him, don't expect us to still be your friends." "What do you mean?" Eve looked at Abigail for help. "Well you see Cece, Jordan has a tendency on being very clingy. He falls in love very quickly." "He always falls in love too fast?" Abigail nodded. "And it's always a rule that once he states his love to you, then you must drop any contact that you have with his brother." "Why?" I questioned. "Because he is afraid that Oliver will steal them from him." "That's nonsense." Abigail shrugged, " He doesn't seem to think so." "Has he ever had proof of this?" I saw Abigail's eyes quickly flicker to Eve who was biting her lip. "Well..."Eve started. "At the start of last year Jordan and I were really good friends. Then one day he asked me on a date..." I could see where this was going. "So I agreed and after a few more dates, we landed up being boyfriend and girlfriend. After two weeks once we made it official, he started telling me that he loved me. I was okay with it at first, but after a month he started telling me to stop talking to other guys. Oliver was a good friend to me and of course Jordan forbidden me to talk to him. But I ignored him and continued to talk to Oliver. Jordan started to get a bit crazy...he yelled a lot...broke down...sometimes he got really angry and even ignored me...eventually I couldn't take it anymore and I broke up with him." "What a nutcase." I exclaimed. "Oh no, Jordan is really a nice guy. He just need a person to teach and show him how to pace things." "If his intentions is to have a relationship with me, then I don't think that is what I want with him." "What's the point Cece?" Abigail finally whispered. I looked at her in confusion. "You're not here forever. And you don't plan on being with Jordan forever. But you are still a teenager and you should have fun." "And risk breaking someones heart?" "And risk losing the moments that you never took." Abigail had a point. If Jordan ever did want to take that step with me, I decided that I would give him a chance. His chance would start this afternoon. "Hey Cece," Oliver called out. I raised me head and looked p at him. "Come over here." He shouted. I got up, leaving my things with Eve and Abigail. "Yes," I asked him. He nodded to a tall dark skinned Asian guy. "That's Apiroo." "Uh, hey nice to meet you." He didn't say anything, but he fiddled around in his pocket. He took out a comb, then took a step forward and started to comb his hair. "Ah, should I be scared?" I asked Oliver. Oliver chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, that's Apiroo for you. He has a major fascination for a Japanese rock band called The Gazette." "I've heard of them, but I am not that into them though." Apiroo took a step back and shook his head. "I am offended. They are great." He said, his voice soft and awkward sounding. "Uh," I said with no comeback. Apiroo shook his head and walked away. "He's strange Oliver." "I know, but he's cool." "Whatever you say." "Hey Cece?" Oliver asked questionably. "Yeah?" "Why are we still whispering?" I laughed and spoke normally. "Because it's fun." Oliver smiled. "So what's the verdict?" "The verdict with what?" "Don't tell me that you didn't ask the girls about the whole Jordan thing." "Oh. That, well I have decided to give him a chance while I am here." Oliver smiled. "Good choice." I watched him get back to playing his guitar.
