Chapter 10A Chapter by Angelique
I laughed, "yeah Lake Gloria sucks."
"So then why are you hanging out with Jordan?" He asked me. I looked at him sternly. "What do you mean?" He casually raised his defensively against the steering wheel. "Hey, I am not saying that it's a bad thing that you are hanging out with him. He's a bloody nice guy and fun to hang around with but...You seem to be the kind of person who likes big cities and hates small places like this one." "I do hate them." "Then why are hanging out with Jordan? Jordan always makes sure that the people he hangs out with are committed to stay here at Lake Gloria. Because they were raised here and there is no point in dreaming. Dreams are useless to him. He seems to think that just because you come from a small town that you can't have any hopes or dreams. I wish he wouldn't listen to that s**t. It's brainwashed him. Now he is brainwashing other's with the same bullshit." "Well I am hanging with him as he was the first person to show me any kindness since I got here...and it's not like it really matters anyway. He and I had a fight about that anyway. He thinks that dreams are stupid. He really knows how to hurt people." Oliver nodded, "I think he hurts himself more with his words than what he hurts other's" I nodded in agreement as we pulled up at school. He switched off the car and grabbed his guitar and school bag. "How long have you been playing?" I asked him. He glanced down at his guitar, "since I was five." "Wow, that's cool." "Yeah, I looked bloody stupid when I was when I was five though...It was way to big for me." I giggled, "Yeah, I suppose it would be.' He smiled and nodded towards the door, "let's get to class." "Glad you two could finally make it," the teacher said as Oliver and I entered the classroom. "Wouldn't dream of missing your class Sir," Oliver said as he made his way to his seat at the back of the room. "Cece, over here." Eve whispered waving her hand in the air to get her attention. I walked over to the seat next to her. "Late with Oliver huh?" Abigail asked, as she winked at me. I rolled my eyes. "I overslept and he offered me a ride." Eve giggled, "that's so sweet of him." I smiled, "I guess it is." I briefly looked back at Oliver who was smiling at me. When he saw me staring, he wiggled his eyebrow causing me to giggle. "Something funny Miss Bloom?" the teacher asked me. I turned around quickly to face him, "Ah, no Sir." "Good, now pay attention." I nodded, "Yes, of course. Sorry."
