Chapter 7

A Chapter by Angelique

"So that is why he hates Oliver so much." I muttered.

"Oliver?" Eve questioned. "Oliver Carter?"

"Carter?" I exclaimed.

"Oliver with the tattoos?"

"Yeah, that's Oliver Carter? He is one year older that Jordan. Jordan is sixteen and Oliver is seventeen."

"I gathered that seeing Oliver is in all my classes."

Eve and Abigail shared a look.

"What we're saying is...Jordan is Oliver's younger brother."

I thought they looked alike. "Then why does Jordan hate Oliver so much?"

"Oliver was supposed to take over the farm, but he turned it down and ran away from home. He lives at his grandparents place now. He only dreams about leaving this town. And of course since Oliver wants to play the guitar, Jordan got his taken away from him. His parents tell him that it's a worthless dream. Jordan would be too much of a disappointment."

"Why did Jordan tell me to stay away from Oliver then?"

Eve shrugged, "I guess he really likes you or something. He's fine with people hanging with Oliver. But if there is some chance of him stealing people away from Jordan than he would prefer them staying away from Oliver.

"How can Oliver steal me?"

Abigail smirked, "Oliver is pretty attractive."

"Oh so Jordan is worried that Oliver's handsomeness will sweep me off my feet and that I will never talk to him again?" I asked sarcastically. "Puh-lease. Jordan has shown me a lot more kindness than Oliver. And besides, I am not here for a relationship. I am here because I was forced to. So in the mean time I am just here to make some friends until I get out of this bore of a town."

Eve's and Abigail's face dropped, like they were hurt.

"Are we really crappy friends?" Eve asked Abigail quietly.

I have put my foot in my mouth. "Of course not!"

"Then why did you say that we are just here for you to waste time?"

"Everyone else is a waste of time! I didn't mean you guys...You two are legit, the s**t."

Eve giggled a bit, "If you say so."

"You are. " I insisted.

"Hey, Cece I am heading home!" Jordan called out. "Want me to walk you home?"

I glanced over at him indecisively.

"Go for it, "Eve insisted.

"You might as well have some fun while you are in town. You have got to be entertained somehow," said Abigail.

Hey there. Sorry for the delay, been offline most of the week trying to catch up on real life stuff.
Glad to see you delving more into the back story, whilst still taking it forward. Feels like she just arrived in town and is already caught in a dilemma to go her own way or get caught in the politics of small town life. Im sure she will go her own way though
Keep it up :)
